SpaceShipTwo under construction
Virgin Galactic has just publicly revealed SpaceShipTwo, “the world’s first commercial spaceship.” The firm already has 300 people who have reserved their spots with at least a deposit, though those flights won’t begin for a couple years. It sounds like a lot of money, but it’s a whole order of magnitude less than billionaires have been paying to ride in old Russian rockets, lately. I sure wouldn’t mind the experience, but I think I’ll wait until they can knock a couple zeroes off the price….
P.S. I guess we DON’T need the government even for space travel. Look out NASA!
